God's instruction to Joshua to set apart six cities of refuge for the manslayer to run to is for us a vivid illustration of the Lord Jesus Christ as the only place of spiritual safety for a sinner under divine judgement. In this we see the great kindness of God to provide for the eternal well-being of all who will trust in Christ.
