Paul stayed 3 months on the island of Malta after the shipwreck. Although technically a prisoner, Paul had freedom to heal and preach. A freedom very much like what he enjoyed during his previous missionary journeys. God's amazing providence also provided Paul with exceptional freedom after his arrival in Italy. He was allowed to stay with Christians in Puteoli for 7 days.
